Made of Star-Stuff: Imagining Outsides at the Center of the World > The Drawing Game

The Drawing Game acts as a medium to connect: individually, each participating player describes a Thing from his/her past without disclosing what it is—its colors, tastes, characteristics, so on; the process is filmed, the footages shown to new players, and upon viewing the filmed descriptions, the new players would attempt to draw the Thing in question.

Resembling Taboo and Solitaire, the Drawing Game allows individuals to reimagine home, their past, and their future. Through the process of sharing that is simultaneously mediated by language and cultural differences, each Thing is constructed into something bigger and more accommodating than its original form.
