EXHIBITIONS > Closer to Home (2013)

Tainan National University of the Arts, Tainan, Taiwan

"I have spent most of my adulthood wandering. My language of describing the world is a conglomeration of sounds and gestures that had long gone astray from their origins. A kind of an overflowing everything-store in which items are disorganized, unlabeled, and sometimes covered in dust.

I picture a home in my mind. A romantic vision of Taiwan as I reimagine the country from its bones to its skin. Memories and fictions intertwine. Here on this island, I am an insider and an outsider at the same time."
